Thursday Thought - Flow pt. 1

Empyrean Oracle by Threads of Fate

✨September 14th, 2023 - Flow pt. 1✨

Good Morning Mystics!

My Thursday Thought post's offer me a way to explore my evolution and write from my soul. They help me integrate what I'm learning and living into. Plus, they're a way to connect with you, Mystics, because we might be exploring the same things and don't even know it. Sometimes it helps to know you're not alone.

✨

But, I have exciting news: today marks day one in a series of three posts where I delve into two topics before bringing them together. The idea came to me when I pulled out two cards from the Empyrean Oracle by Threads of Fate. I could see connections between the cards, and I just had to explore them together! Now, the Empyrean Oracle is composed of 44 cards and was made with lenticular print which is why I have two images pictured. Each card has a companion card. The two topics / cards I'll be talking about aren't card companions—but I'll do this at some point too!

✨

With that out of the way, let's begin! Our first topic is Flow. What does it mean to flow or be in flow? We hear about it a lot, especially in the spiritual community. "Flow this, flow that." Really, flow is a state of being. We're in tune with ourself, with the movement of life, and with those around us. It can mean things are in alignment, or we're moving through tricky situations with as much grace as we can. It's accepting the "good" and the "bad" as is and going with it.

✨

I find flow when I write. I completely lose myself in the doing. It just happens. The creativity pours through me and I lose myself in characters, setting, and the plot. I also find flow when I give tarot readings to others. I channel information through the cards and downloads from spirit guides. The connection is pure and deep; a momentary experience that is safe and holds the client where they are. In offering that, it feels like I'm fully present, like I don't have anywhere else to be in the world but there.

✨

Flow can be creative, open, and wondrous. It can be simple and loving. It just is. In the moments when my day is quiet, I'm quiet on the inside. I don't feel as though I should be doing anything else. I'm content where I am. Nothing needs to entertain me. I don't need to listen to all of my thoughts. It's just peace. Of course, this state cycles. I have my days where I wish I was in flow because everything seems crazy and chaotic. Like something is fighting me when really I'm fighting myself by getting in my own way. Once I—ego—can back off, the flow returns.

✨

But, maybe there's a flow in the chaos, too. An uncovering, a crumbling to create new foundations and growth of what aligns with us now and what no longer does. If we can trust the flow, we can head in new directions we hadn't thought or dreamed of, and we're met with surprises along the way.

✨

I hope you enjoyed the first part of this series! P.S. I've given you a hint in here about next week's topic 😆

Note: This post will not resonate with everyone and that's okay. Take what does and leave the rest. Trust your intuition!
