Thursday Thought - The Seeker

On a purple background with silver holographic foil details is a card named The Seeker. It's traditionally known as the Fool in tarot. In the image is a bow and arrow with a moon cycle and a flower-like star.

Good Morning Mystics!

The first card in a tarot deck, traditionally called The Fool, represents the beginning of a journey, of taking the leap of faith, and setting out with what's available to you all the while knowing you'll gain more as you go along. In the Fortuna tarot, The Fool has been renamed The Seeker and I think it's quite fitting! It lessens the blow of "fool" and puts us into a place of power. But what does it mean to be the seeker? What are we seeking for?

The answer to those questions are in the magic of life. We are here to live and journey and experience. We are here to discover ourselves and our purpose, our place. We are here to grow, learn, and evolve. Not everything will be "good" and not everything will be "bad." And it's too simple to say an experience is good and bad because there is such complexity and polarity within and without us.

But to seek is to find, to discover, to try. It's daring to walk a new path few—or none—have walked before while being true to ourselves. It's about giving ourselves permission to try and make mistakes so we can find the path we're mean to go down. And at times it can be a criss-cross of paths interweaving and interconnected so we can experience as much as we can and try as many things as we can.

Here's a quote from Dr. Wayne Dyer: "You don't fail at anything—you produce results at everything." (I believe I got this quote from an eBook copy of Happiness is the Way). This sentence resonates strongly with me. By finding what doesn't work we get closer to finding what does—thus, that isn't failure. It's showing you which path not to take. And, it offers an ever growing evolution / transformation of yourself and your life. It's one of the many reasons I love being a writer—the progress, expansion, and evolution all come together to form something beautiful.

My challenge for you: Dare to seek today!

Note: This post will not resonate with everyone and that's okay. Take what does and leave the rest. Trust your intuition!
