On a silver diamond patterned background, a single cards rests in the centre. A white border holds a black background with a rainbow coloured web with a spider in the centre. The card reads, "Spider" and has the Earth alchemical symbol at the top (an upside down triangle with a line through the point).

Good Morning Mystics!

I've been having a lot of spiders cross my path as of late, and so I decided to consult my Animal Spirit deck. During the reading, I used the above card as my significator and asked what message the eight-legged insect had for me. It never ceases to amaze me how accurate and on point the cards—tarot or oracle—can be. The full message I'll leave for myself, but I want to impart some of the things I've learned from the spider.

Weave & weaving are the key words for this post because that's what the spider had to tell me. It talked about how I'm weaving the new into the old, slowly unbinding myself from that which no longer serves me. It talked about how I need to practice more of what I'm learning to fully integrate it into my life.

In particular, the message focused on me as a creative. If you don't know, I am a writer, and one of the main points it was trying to make is to focus on process. I find I get wrapped up in results which takes me out of flow with my creativity. Writing itself is a weaving of words, sentences, characters, and story. I love stories! And when I sit down to do my work, my purpose, I'm learning to weave together a state where I do so with passion and love rather than striving from a place of pressure. When I'm in alignment with my creativity, it's never forced as the words come fluidly. The moment I begin to fight and struggle with it because of doubt, worry, etc. is when the flow stops.

This is a lesson I'm learning daily as I'll take a step forward only to take two steps back the next day. Just as reading tarot for others brings me joy, so to does writing. If anything, writing is and will always be my first love. Tarot and oracle reading has come to deepen that love as it's also about telling a story—your own. But I also believe I am here to use my uniquer way of reading the cards to help others connect deeply with themselves. A dual purpose if you will! (Of which I believe is possible!)

Here's a little analogy: The spider weaves it's life together through it's web. The web is it's life. Things ripple through this web, and it's up to the spider to deal with it in the only way it knows how. Life is a journey—a forever process of becoming.

Of learning.

Of growing.

Of transforming.

Here's to weaving our webs.

Note: This post will not resonate with everyone and that's okay. Take what does and leave the rest. Trust your intuition!
