Weekly Guidance

Two cards are on a dusty pink starry night background. The first card is Death (13) which shows a cloaked woman holding a golden baby which is captivated by butterflies. The second card is the Ten of Swords which shows a Phoenix being pierced by ten swords. The bird appears to be dead—but it’s not!

Good Morning Mystics!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Now, I know our weekly guidance cards are looking a bit…well, challenging. Let me tell you, my jaw hit the floor when I pulled these cards because not only do they make a phenomenal combination, they also bring a powerful message for the week ahead. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!

We’re going to talk about Death (13) first, and I want to begin by saying: death does not mean death! Please do not panic. This card is actually quite beautiful as it represents change, transformation, and at its core, endings. Now this card is definitely the softer change and ending card (not like the tower); however, we do have an in-your-face endings card.

Yep, it’s the 10 of Swords. And I know this card has an unsettling image to it with that poor Phoenix riddled with swords. Think of this image as an analogy for how it feels when we go through a cycle of mental, physical, and emotional suffering. Especially when we keep repeating the cycle, over and over and over again. Sometimes it can be difficult for us to recognize our own patterns, but the moment we do, we can break that cycle and crest ourselves anew.

Now, you’ve probably noticed where this is going…we have two cards representing endings out for our weekly guidance. Essentially, a huge cycle is coming to an end this week. It hasn’t been pretty, and it hasn’t been easy, either. But that new dawn rises from the ashes of the dark night of the soul. This cycle is complete and you can rebuild. It is safe to rebuild. You have noticed the patterns, and you have done the necessary work to create a new state of being. The previous you paved way for this new you, and it’s time to let the old go so the new can exist.

Needless to say, be gentle with yourself this week. It’s a lot to go through this process, so don’t worry if it’s overwhelming and feels like a lot. It can be. So, take it easy. Treat yourself to some self-care rituals that are meaningful and help you relax. It’s needed now more than ever.

Note: This is a general weekly guidance reading for the collective which means it won't resonate with everyone. Take what does and leave the rest. Trust your intuition!
